saturday night at the office...how lame?!

it's saturday night at 9:00 and i'm at my office working....how lame?! tax season is here...which along with it brings weekends at the office. i usually prefer to get working out of the way early on saturdays and sundays, but jon is camping tonight so i decided to spend the early part of the day with him before coming to work.

we had to buy a new vacuum today (the joys of married life...buying a vacuum cleaner together!), so we can clean tomorrow in preparation for our super bowl party. so far it's going to be a very small crowd, but i guess that's what happens when you wait until the last minute to plan it! maybe some extras will show up after all!

i'm going to finish up a few things and then anita and i are heading to the late showing of "new in town" with renee zellwegger. i remember back in high school when i couldn't go to any late movies because i couldn't make it home by curfew...now i can go to all the late movies i want, but i'm too cheap to go very often (movies are freakin' expensive these days) and i usually can't stay awake much past midnight (if that) anymore! hopefully i will rally and make it to the end tonight!

i guess that's all for tonight! oh yeah....2 weeks from (very early) tomorrow morning, jon and i will be on an airplane headed to utah! by next weekend i may be counting down the hours! :)

middle of the week...and lots of work to get done

it's the middle of the week and i have tons of work to get done. this weekend looks like it's going to be spent in my office attempting to dig out from the paperwork slowly stacking up on my desk! tax season is soooo much fun! (said sarcastically!) i've been productive so far this week though, so at least i'm making progress!

i'm heading to the gym this afternoon to work out some stress and hopefully meet with my new personal trainer! i'm hoping to get a great work out routine from him, so i can get in shape before bathing suit season...which will be here before i know it!

i'm so freakin' excited about our trip to utah in less than 3 weeks. jon and i are heading to utah on february 15th with my brother-in-law, kris, and his awesome girlfriend, anne! we are planning on an extremely fun filled week of skiing, drinking, eating, a tour of their pool cover manufacturer, and whatever else we can possibly find to do in utah! i've never been on the other side of the mississippi (except on an airplane to mexico last september), so i'm super excited about seeing the mountains of utah!

time to get back to work and continue digging out from the paperwork! xoxo

end of the weekend

well another weekend is over, and unfortunately i think it was the last free weekend i'm going to have until we leave for utah on february 15th! jon and i had a good time in myrtle beach with my parents and cousins...shopping, eating, and playing wii! we are enjoying a relaxing sunday before the beginning of another busy week, and i'm attempting to get in the mood to do some pcs work.

this week is going to be comprised of several late nights at work in order to catch up from friday and get everything finished for the friday payroll deadline. also this week, the gym is going to be a top priority. i'm meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow in the hopes of getting a great workout routine that i will stick with in the long run!

time to get to work so i'm not up all night getting it done!

my first blog

my first blog....where do i begin? i decided to start this as a journal to hopefully look back on many years from now and know what i was doing in my life....and for others to know what in the world is going on with me!

i am very blessed with an awesome husband, awesome friends, and great family! speaking of family, i am heading to columbia this evening to stay with my mom and go to a doctor's appointment with her tomorrow. she found out on monday that she needs to have hip replacement surgery, so tomorrow we meet with the surgeon to possibly schedule it. prayers are definitely needed as she has been and will continue to be in a good bit of pain until she has the surgery!

also speaking of family, jon and i are heading to myrtle beach tomorrow to spend the weekend with my dad and diane. i'm looking forward to getting away, doing a little shopping (i'm still in need of some warm clothes for our trip to utah in 3 weeks!), and enjoying one last relaxing weekend before tax season gets into full swing! the joys of being an accountant! during the next few months, my life will be crazy and tiring due to working extremely long hours, but i'm going to do my best to update my new blog....and possibly let out a few frustrations on here as well! :)
