my work life involves dealing with lots and lots of numbers...which is why i became an accountant! today i am beginning the task of trying to correct 2 1/2 years of financial data for a company related to the one i work for. now i realize why i've been putting it off for the last 2 months....because it's going to suck! i'm trying to pick it up after 3 other accountants have worked with it and the owner wants it corrected (which i certainly understand...bad financial information is not a good thing?)! i have spreadsheets, amortization schedules, financial statements, and tax returns sitting in front of me with numbers all over them, and i don't even know where to start looking for errors and discrepancies!
don't get me wrong, i love my job, but cleaning up financial data messes is definitely not the best part of it! i guess it's time to put on my big girl panties and deal with it (aka get down to business)! although it's 4:00 already...so i think i might put it off one more day and get a fresh start on it in the morning! that should make for a great friday! :)
