jon and i finally arrived home around 9:30 last night after our 9 hour trip home from perdido key, florida. we had an awesome mini vacation/wedding weekend in perdido key....relaxing on the beach, hanging out with friends, and celebrating matt and savina's special day!
jon and i left as soon as we got home from work on wednesday and made it to tallahassee that night. we headed on to perdido key after our first of 3 waffle house meals over the weekend! unfortunately we didn't realize until after our arrival that we changed time zones, so we were 2 hours early for check in! we got some necessities....beer, water, chips, and sunscreen....and headed back to the condo to unload the car. we got to spend the afternoon with matt and some of his german friends before heading to dinner that night! we had a fun dinner at the lulu's in gulf shores, alabama which is owned by jimmy buffett's sister! jay and brittany arrived later that night!
friday morning we headed to breakfast at waffle house (number 2 meal at waffle house) and then met pat back at the condo before heading out on the beach for the day. we had awesome beach weather and spent about 4 hours relaxing and getting some sun before heading to a cookout for the happy couple!
we found a couple of hours on saturday to hit the beach before heading to the wedding! the weather couldn't have been more perfect for their outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour on the dock! the reception was longer than we are used to due to the german traditions incorporated into their special day! we partied until 1 in the morning and had a blast with our new german friends! the weekend was awesome, but it went by way too quickly!
today has been my first day off before starting my new job next tuesday, and it has been a very productive day! now i'm looking forward to my road trip to savannah with stefani to see rachel tomorrow! the girls will be loose in savannah for the day to shop, eat, and enjoy some time together before baby rockers arrives!
